Kids never stop moving. From the time they are born until the time they graduate high school and college their perspective and the way they comprehend is constantly changing and evolving! The way we communicate to preschoolers is not the way we communicate with seniors in high school! If you step back and decide now what you want to accomplish in each age group then you can really focus on how to ramp up what you are saying based on what stage of life they are in!

In the orange philosophy we want to accomplish 3 things at each age.
Wonder
Discovery
Passion

But depending on the age depends on which one of those thoughts we ramp up and focus on!
Here is how that breaks down so we can begin to communicate in a specific way to unpack these big thought. This is the guide we use as we determine how do turn each dial based on what we are trying to accomplish with each age group.

Incite Wonder
Design – Design with intentionality
Identity – your identity is directly connected to the fact that God made you in His image.
Connection – God wants to be in relationship with you!

Self Discovery
Faith – at some point we have to make a decision about what we are going to believe and place our faith in!
Transformation – giving them the place to begin the process of transformation.
Truth – Everything we tell them should be connected to where we think truth comes from which is the bible!

Fueling Passion
Community – We are wired and designed for community!
Compassion – Showing love to the world around us!
RestorationThe idea that restoration is a process not an act

When you really see what God is up to in the world, you will be moved to live out a better story!

When you appeal to some ones relational instincts from a biblical perspective you give them a better view of the world!

You don’t need a great faith in God to be a Christian! You need faith in a Great God.

If you don’t allow the students and teenagers in your ministry to wrestle with their faith they will never truly own their faith. Generic answers for all of life’s problems will lead us to a Generic faith.
