At orange this week learning about the power of combined influences to reach children and Students. It a great conference full or Great Leaders and pastors and I am honored to be here. As I go through this week I will be putting my thoughts on the blog about the different things I am experiencing here.

One of the cool things about orange this year is that you can watch some of the sessions online. This year the opening session will be streamed live. You can view that HERE.

This morning I sat in on a Session called Organization for Those Who Weren’t Born That Way. The session was led by Jim Wideman. (for more about Jim click HERE) He is a fantastic leader who put some amazing things in perspective about organization and what that looks like on a personal level. Here is kind of the big idea or theme from the talk and his 10 steps to lead you towards organization.

Organization is the vehicle that allows you to get things done and helps me prepare for the next level.
            - getting organized isn’t about files and folders but about figuring out how to best maximize you time to allow God to Maximize YOU and you gifts

4 Steps for effective Time Management
1. Planning - To be ready for what is coming you have to plan for it. In the Church World Sunday is always coming if you are prepared for what could be coming you will drown.

2. Preparation - Prepare in advance for the things that are on you calendar. Put steps in place so that you are not loosing momentum when an event comes up in your ministry or your personal life. Distractions are the enemy to organization. Put steps in your life to ensure everything stays together.

3. Evaluations - What would happen if you acted like your time was actually YOUR TIME. Evaluate the time that you spend every week in contrast of what you priorities are in life. That is the best way to evaluate what you do and how much time you spend doing it.

4. Delegation  - What are you doing in your weekly schedule that keeps you doing from what only YOU can do. Delegation is huge to time management. When you refuse to delegate you say that your time isn't important to you or that your priorities are not important enough for you to ask for help and replace yourself.
