Excited to be hanging out at the Orange Tour today! I love getting the opportunity to Connect with other leaders in my own back yard. And it’s a pretty good thing to get the opportunity to hear Reggie Joiner and Sue Miller!

Here are some thoughts I took from Session 1

Strategy is a great word and we love to use it. But it goes a little deeper than a cool phrase and it contains unlimited potential when we do the hard work to develop it!

Key Points
It is the effectiveness of your strategy, not the scope of your mission that will ultimately determine your success – As great as our mission may be, and as eternal as our mission may be our strategy will determine how far we are able to take our mission!

A strategy is simply a plan of action with an END in mind – if you want to push a mission forward then you need to determine how you are going to achieve that. A strategy gives you tangible goals for you to measure whether you are achieving your vision. When you integrate strategy it simplifies everyone’s focus! Strategy provides a narrow path on the broad scope of a vision!

When you Integrate Strategy it synchronizes everyone’s effort – If everyone has a clear and understood goal then they can more effectively move in the same direction.

When you integrate Strategy it enhances everyone’s capacity – Focus brings clarity and Clarity increases chances for success. I go write for days about this. Having a clear understanding of what is needed and what outcome is desired gives leaders a great chance to hit it out of the park.

You will never have to be intentional about getting misaligned as a team – all it takes is a little shift. everyone thought is "good"! but over time little shifts left unevaluated can have completely misaligned

When you have a strategy that guides your team and you actions you can avoid 3 things
- Disillusioned Leaders
- Competing Systems
- Confused Parents

The Orange Goal and Strategy - Design a strategy that combines the family with the faith community to demonstrate the message of Gods story in order to influence the next generation!

An Orange leader is Any Leader who engages other leaders and parents to build faith in the next Generation
