Main Session 5 // Perry Noble
3:27 PM
This session was good on so many levels. I go to watch Andy
Lyons, a guy from Grace Community Church, get an orange award. We are connected
because both of our Churches are in the same town. Andy headed up an effort to
put on an event called Operation Serve School edition for his church. They had
over 900 volunteers show up to serve 35 schools in the Clarksville area. It was
an amazing moments to see him receive that award. He more than deserves it. He
has a huge heart and is incredibly passionate about elevating the next
generation to make a huge difference in our World.
Then to compound that we got to hear Perry Noble bring the
talk. Let me just say that this year at Orange was the best lineup of speakers
they have had yet. It was incredible. Every session was incredible.
Perry talked us about Why what we do today will matter
tomorrow. He busted out the story of feeding the 5000 and talked about the boy
with the food. Someone packed that kids lunch. Someone told that kid with all
the food that Jesus would be there and that He preformed miracles. Then they
sent him to see Jesus with what he had. Which was a few loaves, but God used to
do something in thousands.
His point was that it is our job to pack a lunch. To show
them who Jesus is and then let Him do the rest.
He gave us 3 simple steps for
this.
Teach them
to recognize who Jesus is – just show them who He is and how much He does truly love them. Teach
them about the heart of God and what He has for their life.
Teach them
to trust Jesus – Teach them that Jesus really is who He says He is.
Release them
to Jesus – Empower
them to use their gifting to make change. Just pack the lunch and let them take
it and use it. Get out of their way so they can reach their generation.
Orange was incredible. Thanks so much to the
Orange Team for putting together this incredible event. Highlight of my year!!
Until next year stay classy!! ha
