My first breakout session today was with Matt Mckee talking about this idea of creating an environment that provides the right kind of context for anyone who is going to be there for the first time. On your second visit anywhere you already have a context in your mind about what you are experiencing! That means that in reality we have one shot to provide the right kind of context for the most important message that people will ever hear!
We are the stewards of the greatest message of all time! but if we aren't careful a lot of other things can become a distraction to that! So rather than fighting against that it is important to pay attention to the details because the message is that important!
This cant be easily defined for every environment. Its more about an overall approach that you take to how you prepare than it is specific things that for you to do. The idea is to be focused on kids and parents being able to hear the most important message that they will ever hear! and to make sure that happens we have to get rid of the distractions that could pull away from that!
Here are some statements to help get you thinking about what this looks like for your environments!
