Welcome to the Monday Minute. This is a weekly segment on my Blog where I post a short thought on Random things. Maybe a resource or maybe something I have experienced in the last week.

A few weeks ago I got turned onto a book by Lee Cockerell called Creating Magic. I devoured this book in a matter of days. It was fantastic. Full of great ideas and practical applications that could be a great jump start for any team.

Here are 3 reasons I would HIGHLY recommend this book.

 Very Practical – the author does a great job of breaking each chapter down into basic thoughts. It does a great job of making big thoughts very simple and practical. It also does a great job of using tons and tons of examples. This makes a discussion with your team much easier.

Actionable Steps – at the end of each chapter he puts in actionable steps for you and your team to process through. This makes visualizing the end and the goal so much easier. It also helps you understand what your next steps are and how to bring the thought to reality.

Unusual Point of View – Lee was in Upper Executive Staff at Disney. It is very unusual to get to a point of view wrapped around so many personal experiences. He literally climbed the ladder to success and applied what he learned in real life. You cannot beat a point of view like that.
